Paula L. Ettelbrick, Legal Expert in Gay Rights Movement, Dies at 56

Paula L. Ettelbrick, a leading legal figure in the lesbian and gay civil rights movement who focused on defining “family” in the broadest possible way, died on Friday in Manhattan. She was 56 and lived in Manhattan and Yonkers.

Paula was a wonderful woman who spoke passionately about her beliefs and taught many of us a great deal about the history and progress of the LGBT movement.  She’ll be missed.
